Apple officially revealed the iPhone 13 lineup Tuesday, Sept. 14. There are new and improved cameras, a smaller notch, and 120 Hz high-refresh displays (Pro models only), among some other awesome new features. If you want to be one of the first to get your hands on one of these brand new iPhones, you’ll need to know all the ins and outs of pre-ordering.
Apple set the pre-order schedule for the entire iPhone 13 lineup for 5:00 a.m. PT (8 a.m. ET) this Friday, Sept. 17. This year, there’s no waiting around for the Pro models; whichever iPhone you want, it’s yours to order come Friday.
You don’t have to pre-order as soon as that 5:00 a.m. PT rolls around, but it’s encouraged. If demand is strong enough, you could see Apple sell out of one or multiple iPhone 13 models day one. Of course, stock will replenish in time, but if you want to guarantee a new iPhone as soon as possible, you might want to set your alarms on Friday.
While iPhones are available for pre-order on the Sept. 17, you’ll need to wait at least another week to get your hands on it. That’s because Apple’s actual release date for the iPhone 13 is Sept. 24. There are no guarantees that your pre-ordered iPhone will arrive on that date, but it’s likely it will if you pre-order on the 17th.
If you want to make sure you get the iPhone 13 on Sept. 24th, you might want to consider choosing “pick up” for your pre-order rather than shipping. Depending on the store you go through, you should be able to pick it up from a physical location of your choosing.
Since the iPhone is an Apple product, it makes sense if your first choice is to go through the OEM for an iPhone 13 pre-order. You can choose the model you want, including color, storage size, carrier, as well as whether or not you want warranty coverage:

You can find specific pages for all iPhone 13 devices on AT&T’s website, including color options and storage sizes. The carrier is offering a fantastic deal, in which you can receive up to $800 in the form of bill credits. You’ll need to buy one of the iPhone 13 models with a qualifying installment agreement, including full taxes up front with an activation fee, as well as trade-in an existing device.
That trade-in determines how much money you’ll get from AT&T. You’ll get up to $800 in bill credits with a smartphone trade-in value of $95 minimum; or up to $350 in bill credits with a smartphone trade-in value of $35 minimum.

Verizon offers sign-up pages for each of the four new iPhone 13 models to stay up-to-date on news concerning pre-orders. While the carrier doesn’t have any specific deals, the site is running a promotion giving you up to $500 when switching to a new Verizon line, or up to $800 to switch to a new 5G phone.

T-Mobile isn’t offering much in the way of pre-order prep, but they do have an enticing offer; if you trade-in your existing smartphone, and sign up for their 30-month Magenta MAX plan, you’ll get an iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, or 13 Pro Max on them, at least up to $1,000. That’s good enough for many models and configurations.

Target is also offering pre-orders on the iPhone 13. Like all other outlets, the company will let you buy any of the four new iPhones starting at 5 a.m. PT on Friday. However, there’s only one phone allowed per cart.
You can view the different color options for each phone below, as well as choose the storage size you’d prefer. The exception, oddly, is for the iPhone 13 mini; it only has a Midnight option on Target’s website at this time.
